Congratulations to our U11 Girls Softball team who were crowned champions of The Lady Taverners U11 Girls Softball Tournament at Yelverton last weekend.

Organised by Anne-Marie Presswell, Devon Cricket Organiser, there were 4 sides who competed for the trophy – Bovey Tracey, Plymouth, Exmouth and Buckland Monachorum.

Captained by Eliza Roots, the Bovey Team, Bella Greenwood, Frankie Lee, Lois Hutchings, Amelie Webber, Ruby Broom and Beth Topping, won all 3 games.

Bella Greenwood was our team player of the tournament who not only took a hat-trick in the last game against Exmouth but also hit a few sixes.

Adding a twist to the competition, the girls could ‘win’ powder paint to throw at each other for things they did that were good e.g. wickets, fours, catches etc between the games. Needless to say the Bovey Team were definitely colourful by the end of the day BBQ.
