Results and Lots of Finals – Super Sunday on 16th July
Brockman Cup – oh it was so close last Friday at the Brockman Cup Final vs Ipplepen at Torquay – with the weather not great the game was reduced to 18 overs per side
Having restricted Ipplepen to 134 for 3, we chased hard getting to 127 for 6 in the end – a valiant effort from Ryan Jones (57 not out), Harvey Brown (28) and a rapid 31 off 13 from Harry Pitman towards the end. The whole team should be very proud of what they achieved in the competition – let’s remember the team for the final was our “Under 19 team” plus the “older skipper, Jamie Bishop – 26!
Wombat Devon T20 Cup – a great win for the team away at Tavistock – we kept Tavistock to 117 for 7 in their 20 overs – 2 wickets for Alex Bevilaqua and 1 a piece for Pete Bradley, Ollie Clifford-Bourne, Toby Codd and Chris Yabsley.
We knocked the runs off with one wicket down (Peter Bradley with an amazing 49 off 28 balls). Alex Bevilaqua (38) and Ash Causey (26) carried their bats.
Following last week’s win for the 2nd XI in their competition we now have “Super Sunday” coming up on 16th July
- Aaron Printers Cup Final at South Devon at 2pm
- Wombat T20 Finals day (2 semi finals and then the final) at Exmouth starting at 10am
……oh and not to forget we have a Devon Lions match at Bovey Tracey starting at 11am
All results from last week can be seen on Play Cricket Results
- Congratulations to the Women’s Team for their win over Exmouth
- Well done to the 3rd XI for their win against Tavistock – again a very young team playing against an all adult side
