As we come into the final week of the season we can safely say that summer has now arrived!

Even though we will be winding down in a week or so, there is still lots going on ……. and last week we had the highlight of Wine and Wickets – photos to follow soon!

Friday Night – Junior Awards Night

On Friday night at 6.30pm we will be hosting the Junior Awards night – all are welcome with the bar open from around 5.30pm – lots of awards to give out and success to celebrate!

This Weekend

We are hoping to put on a Parents and Children game on Saturday and the Chairman’s vs Presidents Game on Sunday – keep an eye out on social media for updates

Under 11 Girls – League Winners

Congratulations to the U11 girls who won both their games at Chagford on Sunday to win their league for 2023. We now are on to a semi final on Wednesday at Sidmouth. Good luck!

Under 19 Team – Devon Finals

The Under 19 Team are in action this Saturday at Cornwood in the Devon Under 19 T20 Finals Day

They are playing Ruby Royals from North Devon in their semi final at 11am – the other semi final is between Heathcoat Chargers and Cornwood Cyclones, also at 11am

The final and third place play-off game will then follow afterwards (no later than 3pm)

Good luck – remember the yellow trousers!!

Under 13 Girls – Devon Finals

On Sunday the Under 13 Girls are in the Devon Finals at Sandford – a huge achievement and a day dedicated to celebrating Devon Girls’ and Womens’ cricket

We turned out a 2nd XI on Saturday which was a superb blend of "youthful enthusiasm and experience" ….. you know which side of the equation you are on, when the age of the "3 seniors" was perhaps more than the rest of the team put together!!!

It didn’t prevent the performance of the season from Darren Harvey who picked up 5 wickets for 35 runs in a devastating spell of 4.2 overs. Already promoted Bridestowe didnt know what had hit them!!

The team put up a creditable performance, narrowly losing – any game though which has 480 runs in the day must be good!
